Well this happened awhile ago but it was still funny and therefore needs to be shared. If you have kids then you know that sometimes funny crap comes out of their mouths and you either do one of two things, laugh or laugh and try to hide it.
Well I'm not sure if it's just my kids but I assume it is not. They like to rhyme their words even when it makes no sense at all or no sense to them. They can rhyme any word because they will make them up. Sometimes however they don't actually make up a word but they don't realize what it means. And they say something that makes me say "what?" and then I laugh or walk away and laugh.
Jacob awhile ago was playing a game and I think he messed up and blurted out "hippie nippies". I had to walk away because he gets embarrassed easily but I thought it was pretty funny that when he got mad at his game he yelled about hippie's boobs. lol
Then while getting out of the car one day after school I told Christopher something. I can't even remember what we were talking about but I believe it was "what's for dinner?", typical kids lol, and I answered him. He says, with his rhyming words, "How do you know hoe?" I will use the hoE cuz I know he wasn't calling me a Ho. lol I asked him "what did you say?" and he said it again but more quietly. I told him what a Ho was and he almost cried like he thought I was mad at him. lol I haven't heard him rhyme hoe with any words since then. haha
Now on to the killer smoke. This has nothing to do with the kids but it funny, pretty hilarious to me....and it actually happened, no made up bits to make it more funny.
So I'm sitting in my car in the drive thru of McDonald's at night getting dinner for myself and it isn't super busy but busy enough that it's not a pull up, order and go home sort of deal. I am ordered and pulled my car up a space, thankfully, and while I'm sitting there just waiting my turn I see something move towards my car out of the corner of my eye. I turn and half jump half eek and find that I have been startled by the smoke billowing out of my tail pipe. lol I immediately hope that nobody has seen me and sorta laugh to myself in case someone has. Inside I am busting up that car smoke has caused my adrenaline to race. lol
Well there are 3 little funny things that have happened in my life recently. I would like to get on here and write more but I really don't want to write crap. I don't imagine many read this either so who really am I talking to? lol

Austin
So I decided that the first set of my blogs is going to be about my kids. They will each get their own post and I will do them on different days. I don't want to half ass the last one because I'm tired of writing. lol I'm going to go oldest to youngest to make it easier and this little piece will be at the beginning of each one in case you come in reading on one of the other kids names first. :)
Oh and we are on to Austin, the baby of the family and he lives up to that reputation. Austin gets away with way too much just by the smile on his face or the words that half make sense that come out of his mouth. Without intending to he became the center of all of our worlds. It wasn't because we like him better, even with the kids he became the center. My mom once pointed it out when we were on a trip where he was asleep and the moment he woke up ALL of us surrounded him in his stroller making sure he was waking up in a good mood. lol We didn't do it on purpose, it just happened. I try hard to not "baby" him as much anymore. I figure all the boys got their baby time and Austin deserved his too, now he needs to not get away with everything because boy does he have an attitude.
Austin is by far my most violent so far. He isn't always mean violent. I have never seen or heard of him pinching, hitting, screaming or yelling at other children. We go to a play center with lots of other little kids and he has come to me saying a kid took something or saying "hey I had that" but never violently. With his brothers however he scratches, pinches, stomps and yells for things like "I tried to talk and he not listen" I blame us all for him thinking this is okay. When he was little we said "oh he's little" when he got older I said "that's not okay" and his brothers thought he was so cute and would say "it's okay". Now that he's older we all hate it. lol I can't blame him too much because his brothers are rough with him so he is gonna be rough at a younger age.
Austin cries very easily. It's getting better but if you tell him no he cries, if you say "that was mean" he cries. And honestly it is the cutest cry face I have ever seen. And maybe it's because he's mine but I actually find it funny and like when he makes the cry face. I do not make him do it on purpose but it's hilarious. Because he is such the love bug sweetheart when he's being good, it is so hard to punish him and I think he knows this. He gets away with way too much with his dad but I hold my ground and just last night he went to bed before everyone else and said to me "please don't leave me" when I left the room. Not screaming crying tantrum, just a whimper "please don't leave me". He knows how to work it. lol
Austin is also such a sweetheart. He isn't a hard kid. Even with all the brother fighting, which they all do, he loves his brothers and his sister. He gives so many hugs and kisses and smiles most of the time. He sleeps with us all the time now just like Christopher did at this age. We learned with Christopher there isn't much point in fighting it, it ends on it's own. lol He loves his TV shows and loves to sing the songs. He loves to play the copying game right now even when nobody else wants too. lol He loves to sit and play the Ipod and just be in my lap all morning. :)
Austin is my sweet, spoiled, loving, funny cutie pie. He is gonna be the biggest handful and we all had a hand in it. I love that all of my kids have different personalities and I look forward to the "big kid" Austin becomes. :)

Jacob
So I decided that the first set of my blogs is going to be about my kids. They will each get their own post and I will do them on different days. I don't want to half ass the last one because I'm tired of writing. lol I'm going to go oldest to youngest to make it easier and this little piece will be at the beginning of each one in case you come in reading on one of the other kids names first. :)
So now we are on to my middle child, Jacob. Jacob is by far the most sensitive of the four. He gets embarrassed so easily and over everything. When he was in Kindergarten he had a little school crush on a girl in his class. We wouldn't make fun of him but if you asked about her he would tell you to be quiet and would get to the point of tears because he was so embarrassed. We quickly learned not to say too much about it. Although I admit to asking and using that outburst to tell him to calm down and realize nobody was making fun of him.
Jacob has a huge heart and loves everybody. Besides arguments and fights with his siblings he doesn't seem to have a mean bone in his body. He loves babies and I frequently have to remind him not to touch other peoples children in the store. lol He just loves how cute and little they are. Maybe he prefers little to big when they can yell and hit you. lol He is super friendly when you get to know him but very shy until you do. This I believe helped him not to be a trouble maker in class. He was very focused and never really got in trouble. He has a much harder time, then his brother did, learning school things but he is a whiz at video games. Christopher often gets irritated that his younger brother always seems to win at them. He loves the Wii and PlayStation. I think he prefers game systems for the TV then playing handheld games.
Out of the boys Jacob is by far the laziest. He whines when he has to clean his room, which is only maybe twice a week if that. He hates to read, which is part of his homework. When I ask one of the other kids for help he says "you never ask me" and when I tell him it's because he complains he denies it, then I ask him and he doesn't want to do it. lol He takes the longest to do anything and it drives me crazy a lot of the time. I can tell I am gonna have to find ways to keep him active. :) If he doesn't have a video game or there isn't a TV he gets bored real easy. But I do have to say if we are outside he is active and a part of playing. He doesn't sit and wait until we go home.
Jacob also seems to have a hard time with change. In Kindergarten when the routine was changed he got upset because it wasn't in the order they usually do things. Even now in 1st grade, his dad was switched to night shift and he can't have his dad drop him off at school or he cries. Something about it just upsets him...it's not normal and maybe it's because it reminds him that he won't see him again until the next morning. Jacob is such a love bug and has the cutest squishiest nose I have ever seen. He has the cutest little freckles sprinkled across his cheek bones and nose. :)
Jacob is my sweet, shy, sensitive, move at his own pace love bug. He is gonna be a great guy if he stays this way and I will do all I can to help that. :)

Christopher
So I decided that the first set of my blogs is going to be about my kids. They will each get their own post and I will do them on different days. I don't want to half ass the last one because I'm tired of writing. lol I'm going to go oldest to youngest to make it easier and this little piece will be at the beginning of each one in case you come in reading on one of the other kids names first. :)
Alright so we are on to Christopher. My super intelligent, straight forward, no filter child. Christopher loves to learn about everything. He asks questions all the time, sometimes to my annoyance. He loves to read and likes to learn more about math. He is a great student and on his own tries to better his classroom behavior when it has to do with talking and being distracted by friends. He questions everything, if spiders can kill you, which ones and where do they live. He freaks himself out a lot with these things. He asks about God and the bible a lot and I usually refer him to "ask Micah" since she reads the bible and goes to church. He is a sponge and wants to know everything.
He also says whatever is on his mind and often doesn't realize the way he says things can seem rude even if he is just stating his simple truths..."I don't eat that" lol Thankfully one of his best friends mom is my best friend and she actually enjoys his straight forwardness so I don't have to worry too much when he's there. He is a kind child and has recently become more of a Mommy's boy then he's ever been. He loves his family and loves his siblings but of course they fight...well like siblings. He loves to cuddle and watch TV with me or wants to read me a part of the book he likes or retell a part of a show he's watching, even if it's practically the whole show. lol
He is very sensitive and will cry easily when his emotions become too much and when things don't go his way. He is silly and funny and sarcastic, which sometimes gets him in trouble because he doesn't know when sometimes it's NOT the time for sarcasm. lol He isn't a big video game kid until he came across an old game boy my youngest step brother gave us and then he was attached to it for 3 days, so far, because it has Pokemon games, which he loves. He is hyper when he's stuck in the house and is starting to want to eat like a teen. I swear if I hear "can I have" when it relates to food I'm gonna go crazy. lol
Added 12/4/11 - I feel like I did not write enough about Christopher. I had so much to say about the others. Christopher, although he felt like the crazy child, has become my more mellow kid. He gets crazy sometimes but he reads and plays the gameboy. He loves his family and out of all of the children is the closest to my mom. This has nothing to do with favorite but how long we lived in California near her. He is at the age where he always wants to be right and it drives me crazy. lol He is half missing (they're growing in) about 3 teeth and I love when he smiles. He FINALLY lets me take pictures of him again. There was a good 2 to 3 years where he didn't smile or wouldn't get in the pictures. Now he is happy to show off his half toothless grin and loves his smile. I love him so very much. :)
Christopher is my smart, straight forward, loving, kind hearted sweetheart. I worry he will have his heart broken before he breaks a heart but I will be there for him and he will grow up to be a great man. :)

Celia
So I decided that the first set of my blogs is going to be about my kids. They will each get their own post and I will do them on different days. I don't want to half ass the last one because I'm tired of writing. lol I'm going to go oldest to youngest to make it easier and this little piece will be at the beginning of each one in case you come in reading on one of the other kids names first. :)
So we start with Celia. At this point in time she is 13 1/2 and a true teen. lol Tears come easy but always have with her. I met Celia when she was 2 years and 3 months old. Being her step mom I find a little comfort in this since when it comes to her life with her dad there is very little that she will remember that doesn't include me. I am a big part of the memories that deal with this side of the family. I didn't come in at 5 years or 10 years. I think that this made being her "mom" easier. I didn't have to fight to get that respected title. She called me mom a whole lot earlier then I anticipated but that's what her dad wanted. I of course had no problem with it as long as she was comfortable with it. Now it's not even an issue...I am mom even if I did not have the privilege of carrying or birthing her...although I'm okay with that. LOL
Celia is a sweet, sarcastic and funny girl. She does not bend to peer pressure at all and has a strong head on her shoulders. She doesn't care if you think she's acting stupid or childish or silly. If she wants to give herself a new name and dance around feel free to stare she doesn't give a crap. :) I love that about her...she isn't in a hurry to grow up. She is ADDICTED to her cell phone and facebook. It's funny being on the adult side and seeing what technology has done for friendship. When I was a kid you called your friend or went over to visit. Now at her age you have constant connection to your friends and they become a huge part of your life. Celia is a great friend. She loves each of her friends dearly and I have never heard her talk bad about a friend and then seemingly be nice to their face. She will tell you if you pissed her off and is very honest about what makes her mad. She is also super talkative with her friends which tends to get her in some trouble in class but she is working on it...there's a time and place for friends and school class time is not it. lol
Celia has a huge family. On her mother's side she has 3 sisters and on her dad's side (us) she has 3 brothers. She is happy with that. She has a girl household and a boy household. She is the oldest of a total of 7 kids in both families. She can be like any other sister picking on the little ones but when I'm in my room I often hear her playing with her brothers being silly, making videos with the camera or her phone. Her brothers love her a lot and even tho' she isn't a little kid anymore sometimes when girl toys come on TV the boys want to get that for "sissy". :) She is also EXTREMELY lazy. lol She will be the first to admit this. I recently found out she actually asked her cat to make her a sandwich. lol I just hope she didn't think it was actually going to happen. :) She loves to stay up late and sleep in late. If she had her way she would go to bed at 1am and get up at lunch. I often let her sleep in until 11am at the latest because I remember being really tired as a teen and honestly if I could sleep for 11 hours and stay asleep I might do that sometimes too. :)
Celia has a very unique and cute fashion sense. Considering I have birthed all boys and I am the only female in this house maybe her style is the norm for girls her age but I find that she is not trying to dress in the shortest dress or tightest low cut shirt. Besides a couple pair of shorts this last summer I have no issues with her clothes. lol She does however have the longest legs and shorts are going to be an issue with waist and length. lol She loves characters...Hello Kitty, Domo, Mario. She even has a couple shirts from the boys section because they have the Yoshi or transformers she likes. And she always manages to look cute not like the kid that has no clue. She loves winter hats and has a ton. I believe part of it is to not have to deal with her hair. lol She loves having her hair straight and although she looks good no matter if her hair is straight or curly she looks amazing when she straightens her hair all the way.
She is becoming a beautiful, smart and amazing young woman and even tho' these teen years are going to be "fun" (lol) I am so happy to be a part of her life. I love her and always will. I can't wait to see who she becomes. :)

New Day
I have erased my other blog...well blogs, besides my stories one so I can start over. With the holiday season coming I know that most of my days will be spent in doors and if I have something to do hopefully I can keep the blah's at bay. So here it is "Random Raspberries" There is no significance in the name. Besides the fact I do not have a point to this blog other then writing what's on my mind. I liked Random and I like the flavor of Raspberries so there ya go. LOL I have a few ideas on what to write. Not sure if anybody will read it and although it's nice to be noticed I really just like to write. Most of the time I have a hard time on what to say or how to get it out right....maybe this will help. :) Who knows where this will go, if it will go anywhere or how often I will write. My writing is like my reading, I get in the mood and go days doing it then it just stops. So if you become a reader bare with me as I'm starting new. :)
